Jocelyn Li Langrand is a children’s author and illustrator

Jocelyn began her career as a visual designer after graduating from Cornish College of the Arts with a BFA in visual communication design. In 2015, she started a personal project on Instagram, 100 Days of Mr.Diggle, where she told and drew stories daily. Since then, Jocelyn has been doing freelance illustration work with non-profit organizations. Jocelyn is the winner of the 2020 San Francisco Beautiful MuniArt Award where her works were displayed in 100 local buses as moving galleries for commuters. Her debut author-illustrator picture book IF YOU MISS ME is the winner of the 2022 CLC Book Award, which celebrates the attributes of compassion, love and courage in children’s book. IF YOU MISS ME is also long listed for the 2022 Klaus Flugge Prize to the most promising and exciting newcomer to children’s picture book illustration. Her second book YEAR OF THE CAT, written by Richard Ho, was 2023 Bank Street Children’s Best Books of the Year. 

Growing up in China, Jocelyn has lived in cities around the world, from Singapore to San Francisco to London, and finds her heritage and travel influence everything she creates.

She now lives in London with her husband and 2 sons.
